Potato Bread Pakorasl Fritters: Take the kadhai/wok, heat the oil as required for frying. Then take the squares of the bread
and potato mixture, dip it in the batter and then into the oil for frying. Make sure the oil
is heated enough so that they can fry easily.

Ingredients:

For Stuffing

Bread (brown or white) – 6 Potato 3
Salt to taste
Red chili powder- 1 tsp
Pomegranate powder (for both) –1 tsp

For Batter
Gram flour –2 cups
Water – as required
Salt to taste
Roasted cumin powder-.5 tsp
Red chili powder- 1.5 tsp
Oil-for frying

Method:

For Stuffing

1. Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Drain them. After draining, peel them and mash
them with hands or with a spatula.

2. In the stuffing, add salt, red chili powder, pomegranate seeds powder (anardana). Mix
them well Keep them aside.

For Batter
1. In a bowl add gram flour (besan), water, pomegranate seeds, salt, red chili powder, and
carom seeds. Mix them

2. Add more water if required but the batter should not be very too thick or thin.

For Frying

1.
Place one slice onto another. Then cut the bread slices into squares or in rectangles and
stuff the potato mixture into it.

2. Take the kadhai/wok, heat the oil as required for frying. Then take the squares of the bread
and potato mixture, dip it in the batter and then into the oil for frying. Make sure the oil
is heated enough so that they can fry easily. Fry them till they get golden brown from
both sides. If you are making it for a party, in that case, you have to make it in batches
accordingly.

3. Then serve them in a serving plate with the napkin so that oil gets separates. Serve it with
mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
